Why does critter evictors NOT use poisons? Poisons do not address the root of the problem. Rat poisons are a food source. They’re made to taste good to rats so they’ll eat the poison. Simply placing rat poison or bait stations around a property feeds and kills rats (or anything that eats the poison) simultaneously.
Rats are creatures of habit. If there’s a constant food source for rats (bait stations) around or in a home rats will continue to visit. As one colony of rats dies another moves in. It’s a vicious cycle. Over time rats can learn to avoid poison decreasing the efficacy of bait stations.
